Paolo Cascardo       

Maynard Yates

Clean is Paolo's debut starring in a feature film and the second time working with Nyle Cavazos Garcia and Jane Gaffney. Paolo appeared in Cowboy, a feature film produced in 2000 by Nyle and directed by Jane. Paolo began his acting career in New York where he appeared in several plays and studied to develop into an actor of versatility and depth.

Paolo won the Award For Outstanding Achievement in Acting at Vision Fest 2004 for his work in Clean.

 

Patrick Fabian         

Bobby Franklin

Patrick's extensive television career includes recurring and guest roles in such award winning shows as Friends (NBC), Beverly Hills 90210 (Fox), Providence (CBS), 24 (Fox), and most recently Joan of Arcadia (CBS). He stars in the AFI short film, Recycling Flo, which screened at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival.  Patrick can also be seen as Jay Sebring in the 2004 CBS Television Event, Helter Skelter.

 

Tamara Mello          

Audrey

Tamara's other film credits include lead roles in Tortilla Soup (MGM), She's All That (Miramax), and Spanish Judges (Lion's Gate). Tamara's television credits include starring roles on two award winning series; Popular (WB) and Nothing Sacred (ABC). Last year, Tamara originated the role of Vanessa in Jose Rivera's (The Motorcycle Diaries) play Adoration of the Old Woman.

 

Lee Burns                 

Peter Best

After high school and community college, Lee embarked on a career as a firefighter/paramedic. Lee's acting career began when he was coaxed into "giving it a try" by David John Huber, who also discover Elijah Wood and Kelly Lynch. Soon after, Lee landed roles in six independent films, four of which were starring roles, a recurring on Walker Texas Ranger and two movies-of-the-week.  Currently Lee can be seen in the  Larry Levinson production Gone but not Forgotten, a mini-series staring Scott Glen and Lou Diamond Phillips.

 

J. Cynthia Brooks    

Gigi

J. Cynthia began her career as a dancer, and at age ten was awarded a scholarship to the School of American Ballet. Her television and film credits include the starring role of Siren in the film Siren Moon by acclaimed director Leslie Hope (Fox's 24). J. Cynthia also portrayed Taylor McCall on the NBC award winning daytime series Days of our Lives. She can currently be seen in the film Y.M.I. (winner of the 2004 Venice 2 Film Festival), and will star as the villain in the upcoming film Lady Samurai.

 

George Loros           

Harvey Schreiber

After a noted career on stage George's film work began with a role in Sidney Lumet's 1973 Academy Award winning film Serpico starring Al Pacino. He also co-starred in the 1986 film The Apology (HBO Films ) along side Peter Weller and Lesley Ann Warren. George television appearances include parts on such classics as Baretta, Kojak, Starsky and Hutch, and The Rockford Files. George can currently be seen as Raymond Curto in the HBO series The Sopranos.

Nyle Cavazos Garcia      

Director/ Editor/ Producer/ Writer

Nyle has produced and directed three short films, one of which (Humidity) was selected for the Brooklyn International Film Festival 2000 and the New Film Maker's Series at the Anthology Film Archives in New York City. Nyle has worked in production on feature films for Lion's Gate, Good Machine and The Shooting Gallery. Through his own production company, Small Town Pictures, Nyle produced, shot and edited the feature film Cowboy. Clean is Nyle's feature film directorial debut.

Nyle won Best Director at The Rhode Island International Film Festival and Vision Fest 2004 where he also won an award for Best Editor for his work on Clean.

 

Jane Gaffney                   

Writer/ Producer

Jane was born in Scotland, raised in Hong Kong and educated in England. After graduating from Boston University with a BS in Film Studies, Jane worked in production in New York for the Shooting Gallery and Greene Street Films. In 2000, Jane wrote, directed and starred in her debut feature film Cowboy (Small Town Pictures). Jane currently lives in Los Angeles and has completed two feature film screenplays.

Clean won Best Picture at Vision Fest 2004, Sacramento International Film Festival, Park City Music Festival, DIY Hollywood and Beverly Hills International Film Festival.

 

Devone Lawson                

Executive Producer

Clean is Devone's first credit as Executive Producer. As an actor he is best known for his appearance in the Jerry Bruckheimer production Bad Company (Warner Bros.), and the television dramas The Sopranos (HBO) and Law & Order (NBC). Devone is a native of Georgia, studied acting in New York, and is currently living in Los Angeles.

 

Jon Salzman                     

Director of Photography

Jon is from Fairlawn, New Jersey, and attended the University of Cincinnati, School of Arts and Broadcasting. He worked with Proctor & Gamble Productions, and then was briefly arrested for shoplifting when he removed a high price tag on a jar of olives. Soon after, he ran away from Ohio to Los Angeles, where he began working as an electrician and gaffer on music videos, commercials, and feature films, including:  Barton Fink, The Big Lebowski and O Brother, Where Art Thou? for the Coen Bros. Jon began his DP career with the independent film projects: American Dream and Karma. Clean is his third independent film.

 

Paul Curreri                      

Music

Paul was raised primarily in Richmond, Virginia. In 1994, he entered the Rhode Island School of Design to pursue a painting career but quickly realized he'd made a wrong turn. Four years more and hundreds of songs later, Paul became a focal member of Virginia's busting acoustic music scene (voted "Best Local Musician 2001" Cville Weekly). Touring engagements followed with the likes of Hot Tuna, Spider John Koerner, John Herald, and virtuoso guitarist and songwriter Kelly Joe Phelps.  In 2003, Phelps produced and played on Curreri's acclaimed sophomore effort Songs for Devon Sproule.  Paul is currently working on his third album in Greenwood, Virginia, due in early fall of 2004.
